      AK gas block id's

      I have a Romanian SAR-1 with a ground off lug on the gas block. I would like to replace this with a gas block that has a bayonet lug. I need to know if all AK gas blocks are the same. That is if the inner diameter where they contact the barrel are the same size, or if country of origin...

      Rust protection

      Just cut the threads on my AK barrel, what is recommend for rust protection on newly exposed metal? Is cold bluing a good option? BTW if you are considering threading your barrel, it could not be easier.
