My vote would be to build one, or have one built by someone good while being available to see how it feels to you.
The 1911s I have are both carry guns, and I built them using the best parts from several manufacturers but on a Rock Island frame and slide. The idea is that I want the function...
I thought this was interesting. Apologies if this is a repost; I've not seen it.

Glenn had some decent (for the times) prices when I was there a couple weeks ago. Picked up some more H4350.
I'm disappointed that it's been hard to find CCI large pistol primers lately. I was cleaning up in the shop and found almost 1,000 large rifle primers, so there's that.

Well, you see, my wife is more comfortable in town, so we bought a house inside city limits. I keep most of my guns out in the country at my parents' house these days since I've had a range set up in the woods out there since I was 16. Just keeps me from lugging stuff back and forth.

Thank you.
I've always released bats. They're awesome critters.
At what temp do they wake up? It was in the 40s here on Sunday night, and I'd seen them out before Sunday. Can they wake up when it warms up, then go back to hibernating when it gets cold again? That would explain this one.
Rabies has a long incubation period, typically 20 to 90 days.
Those things can look viscous, but the bigger concern was it acting sick. I didn't want my son bitten.
