      Shot placement and functionality of a given hollow point round in your firearm is much more critical than choice of brand or feature of design. That being said, any modern day hollow point will do its job just fine over a FMJ round. Scott

Shortly after finding this one at a local shop and running through a couple hundred rounds for functionality, I sent it off to the SA Custom shop where they upgraded the grip safety, mainspring housing and hammer.       That one has the factory mil-spec thumb safety in it still and has worked just fine for me. It is rounded up a bit on the edges for comfort as is the complete gun, that seems to help in overall feel too. Scott
