I think that's quite different. An office seeing someone going 85 in a 35 knows without a stop that a law has been broken. Seeing someone carrying alone still does not indicate that.
I think we could see it, and I could see Scalia writing the opinion.
Driving on public roads is not a write codified in the constitution, and keeping and BEARING arms are.
Bearing is not definitive on OC/CC, so I would think either is protected.
But it seems you want it both ways (which is where court precedent comes in.)
You say: "If you open carry, PC is achieved on sight, and the officer can require license verification."
However, you also say: "If you drive down the road, no PC is achieved."
When in reality doing both those...
You're reading into the law a bit more than myself, I believe.
I agree completely - open/concealed carry in Indiana is against the law without a permit, and that's exactly what that statute says.
However, I stop there, while you go onto read that because it is by default illegal that...
Do you have a reference to law/case law that says open carrying is probable cause for a stop? (I know most states it isn't, but don't know specifically about Indiana.)
I joined INGO a long time ago. Got busy with work, disappeared, and just had the opportunity to come back. Post count is low and being trimmed as I go. Oh well, don't have money for classifieds anyways.
I'm moving up into Carmel in a few months, and am considering keeping my FCVCC membership or joining Elwood for the reasons you list. Elwood seems like a nice place to shoot, with minimal range closures due to organized shoots.
10 shootings, then up to 93... I wonder where we might find more examples?
Even compare it to other countries and delineate between those that allow civilians to carry guns to those that don't.
I think it would be a good argument back to those that say "If someone had a gun they wouldn't...
