      background check on long gun?

      I just finished paying off a winchester model 62A rifle at the Laf. Gander Mountain and much to my suprise I had to go thru the background check. I thought the checks were for handguns only. Is this normal? :dunno:

      Indiana bullet CO. 9mm

      Has anyone tried out thier cast bullets ? I was going to go for the 147 grainers. I have never shoot any lead before, just worried about leading and feeding problems.
