one feature I love about the reuger .380 is that the only safety is an 8lb trigger pull. So it's pretty hard to accidentally discharge it, therefore it can be carried or kept handy in a car with one in the chamber and ready to fire and it's about as safe as a gun kept in such a condition can...
I have never fired a glock, but it seems to me like the extra button on the trigger could be pulled accidentally almost as easily as a regular trigger. what am I not understanding that makes this such a great safety feature?
i keep all my bug out stuff in the car trunk, so i can carry a few larger items. I also have regular electric plugs that draw power from my cigarette lighter (i love this item, available at radio shack for example.) I was thinking about getting some kind of emergency communication as well...
i always tell the cops up front. this happened three times. twice I told them I have pistols in a locked case in the trunk. Then when they wanted to see paperwork which i also had in the trunk, they wouldn't let me get it for them, and then gave me a ticket for not producing the paperwork...
if you pull a stun gun in a self defense situation it better be one powerful enough to knock em off their feet. for the same reason I didn't recommend my girl to carry a tiny .22

Beretta SP22 LR I thought it was a great starter gun because it has little recoil and particularly because the internal cocking mechanism means that this semiautomatic gun will not cut open an inexperienced shooter's hand when it recoils even if they hold it wrong

THIS IS WHY I ALWAYS KEEP MY GUNS AND...
my girlfriend wanted one of those keychain sized 22s to throw in her purse. I am reccommending a 380 as small but still effective, though the kickback on the little ones ie kel tec lcp may be too much for her
I keep my guns locked in my car trunk (though I do have a carry permit). It strikes the right balance for me between accessibility and comfort. I luckily don't live in a neighborhood where I'd worry about keeping one in my bedroom.
still I am always somewhat near my car whether at home or...
