No pics but got 2 crappie, Asian carp and 1 of the coolest marked rockbass I ever seen. Looked like a baby grouper.

Caught mainly sunshine so that was awesome. Fish were cold!

My son and I had plans to fish for crappie at Grenada spillway today. At 10:20 pm I set the clock for 6 am, didn't turn the alarm on. Woke at 8:45, guess I needed the sleep.

I stepped outside at 10:30 am, warm with a light southern wind. Packed up and headed to Sardis spillway. Opened the doors in the parking lot to find it cooler with a northeast heavy wind. We fished 20 yards apart with an old man between us. He had 4 and missed the last 4 at the bank. My son got two 11" crappie and I missed 4 at the bank. We didn't have jackets or gloves. A bit froze at 4:45 we packed up and came home.

Yesterday I returned to Sardis spillway by myself, both sons were working. 45 minutes after I got there I caught my first 10" crappie. Had been watching others, none caught yet. A guy walked by and said, I see they are starting to turn on. He sat about 25 ft away. Another 45 minutes and he catches a crappie larger than mine. We both fish another hour without a bite. Rain was getting near and I felt a few drops. I packed up, didn't want to climb those 100 steps in the rain.

Wednesday afternoon fished along about 300’ of shoreline to out 100’ in 1-6 ‘ of water. Just tons of bluegills but not really biting at least on anything I had. Mostly up shallow. Backs up out of water. Sitting stationary or minor movement. When startled a 50’ diameter circle of surface water would explode

I caught a small LM, a small gill, lost a nice gill, and 4 keeper gills. No other bites. Best 1 in pic

Smallest was 8.5. Other 2 in between. A month ago their bellies were thin. Now they are getting rather plump.

That tail looks like it has been fanning a bed
