Only for thirty five years. I'm just a rookie at it. ;)
    lol. Good,
Me a drilling business and then steel tool manufacture. So I hade to buy on what the future of steel would cost six months to a year on so down the road.
#1 never had increased costs between order and ship time. That's like 2 days.
#2 Then I would suggest a better business plan, maybe use MidwayUSA's plan?
#3 I'm not sure I own anything myself, but it sure seems that many online reloading/ammunition retailer such as Bass Pro / Cabella's and Midway do ok with their business plan with decades of breaking customers over.
#4 I have no idea whom American buys from.
#5 Again, my insurance and most bills are paid in 6 months or a yr in advance. If my steel yards let me know of impending pricing increase, I tend to over stock. It's not like I have to explain it to a wife.
I don't deliver except to one business and that's because with the tonnage discount at ups that they get over what I get, is pretty significant.
The worst increases I have ever seen was when uncle Sam was buying all the T1 and AR 500 and 600 sheet steel 21? Years ago to uparmor the HumVees. My cost of a 10' × 24' sheet of AR 500 went from 1850.00 almost to 6,000 dollars. I was given about a month advance notice. I think I bought about 10 to 12 sheets then.

    :)

Somehow I knew there was a "knows better" story coming. ;)

I think you should apply for the CEO gig at American Reloading. Sounds like they need your help.

I really dont have a gott'ya that I'm looking for here or anywhere. I don't need American Reloading for anything. I just posted MY life's experiences with owning two corporations. I write and post just like I talk.
I have no formal business education at all, if I have a question I asked two different businessman and if I was told the same by both, that's how I rolled.
I struggle to understand when you use statements of unknowns between sales and shipping?
If I ever had unknowns like UPS went up, you knew it a few weeks before it happens..
That night I would adjust my shipped sales price 78 cents.
If you don't want to have conversations with me, how about you just don't engage with me.

American Reloading is no longer the company they use to be . Three months ago when they started using the excuse that they were updating their website , then they started using the excuse that they were moving into a new facilities . Customer service and inventory has not improved . I placed an order and the next day I received my tracking number . After a week I had not received my order ( I usually receive them in 5 or 6 days ) . I sent them an email asking where my order was. They replied that they had made an error in inventory and would refund my money or replace it with a similar item that they assured me was in stock . I agreed to accept the replacement item . The same day I received a tracking number for the replacement item . Same scenario as before it never showed up . I emailed American Reloading again . I received the email back saying the same thing as the previous time . I emailed back telling them to refund my money . Still waiting for my refund to post on my credit card .

I had a similar issue also, but mine was price related, ordered 16 pounds of powder, got a email saying it would be more as price was wrong on the site? When i order my card is charged instantly, they said they couldn't put it back on my card , but offered to give me credit or send me a check, i chose the check and received it in a few days and it cleared!. This is so far the only problem i have had, except shipping times seem to be longer.

Bull **** - unless they're doing business like it's still 1924 (or they're just totally incompetent), they can quickly & easily have a refund issued to the card that was used for the transaction

I think they might be suffering from being suddenly very popular. Perhaps having issues keeping up with the demand.
I too have noticed that an item listed is shown out of stock when I go to put in the shopping cart, and only then sometimes.

Just received my order, communication was good and was quickly shipped. FYI this was the same product that my other order was canceled and refunded a month ago or so. They had no issues with refunding my card either. YMMV

Interesting, mine is supposed to ship today.
It will be interesting to see if it does.
My order has been "Complete" including tracking since Tuesday, its not looking like its gonna be shipped today either. Going out of town on Monday for the week, thanks for making it another pain in the ass American Reloading. This is my third and last time I order from them.
Don't tell me 2-3 day ship and then not hold up your end.

Interesting isn’t it? Just like some folks love bobcat and I would never utilize their business again no matter what. Seems some times you just don’t get a good experience.

It is interesting how things work sometimes, everything I order from Kimbal it's in the mailbox asap. I would say half the time it's the next day.

Day eight,They answered my second email.
Still hasn't shipped, here's there response to my email.

Our apologies for the delay. We had some issues getting these in on time due to the weather recently. This order should go out in the next couple of days.

So I still don't know when it's gonna ship.

I just don’t get how hard it is in todays world to launch customers an email says,
Sorry Mr Loyal customer, bla bla bla bla.
Your order has been updated and it will ship out tomorrow sir.
    Thank you for your patience.

Just get and stay in front of your shortcomings..

Thought I'd chime in quick re: American Reloading.

Ordered from them for the first time back on Feb 2nd. They had 500rd cases of 308 factory seconds for $320 (64cpr), no tax, free s&h. At that price, I had to roll the dice. Radio silence from 2/2 til 2/12 when I finally got a tracking #.

Ammo finally showed up today. All 500 loose rounds were packed in one bag. Rounds looked clean, a few tiny dents and dings from transit im guessing, but no discoloration, tarnishing, etc. Headstamp of "AUSA" indicates it's all US-made Armscor. I even got 2 bonus rounds. If it all goes bang, I'm happy.

It's worth noting, my order was placed late evening on Fri 2/2, so the clock probably didn't actually start until Mon 2/5. Slow for sure, but not awful.
