      Sig Sauer M400 Enhanced

I seriously contemplated getting one - a good price is below $1000, average is $1100ish. Great fit and finish imo. For what it's worth, I decided against it, spent a little extra and got something with better specs including a CHF barrel.

Waiting time for Bud's Gun Shop

Ordered on the 17th, shipped on the 27th (sigh) UPS ground - for some reason I was able to pick it up today.

I'm looking at the Standard Catalog of S&Ws for my info. The one on the right is a 2nd Model .32 Safety Hammerless. The 2" version is referred to as the "Bicycle Gun." I'm going to spring for the $50 for info on each revolver. I'll keep everyone posted on what they say.

Talk me out of buying a FNX 9

EDIT: Talking about the 5906 I ended up getting here: I've put about 300 thru it and my thoughts are almost all positive. The DA trigger pull is unreal - why isn't this gun more well known for it's DA pull? The SA ain't too shabby either. Yeah it gets a little heavy tho, and I wouldn't want to...

thanks for posting the pic. I could look at old sentimental guns all day. Along the same lines it makes me wonder about the military surplus guns and the stories they could tell.

If you know your S&Ws I'd love to hear your thoughts on the one in the middle - it's a double digit serial (note the indentations). My grandparents used to carry it in their antique store pre-depression. The other revolver has a 2" barrel which is also on the rare side as I understand it.

      S&W 5906

CDNN has vgs-excellents w/hogue grips for 350+20 shipping + FFL. They also have G to VG w/o hogue grips for 330+20 shipping + FFL. I recently got a 5906 and went with CDNN - some surface scratches (mostly holster wear) but the internals are top notch.

Talk me out of buying a FNX 9

well you guys did it. Thanks to everyone who took the time to post - your opinions were appreciated. I opted for a 5906 from CDNN. They have VG-Excellents listed on the front page of their new (2012-3) catalog. Got an extra mag (30$) and with shipping (20) ran me about 400. I pick it up next...

Talk me out of buying a FNX 9

I'm interested in a 9mm in SA/DA with hi-cap for in the woods plinking. I've considered most of the options out there but to give you an idea of my thoughts: my back-up plan is either the CZ P07 or forgoing the whole plastic thing and getting a very affordable S&W 5906. I'm very ok with...

I'm interested in what you're asking for a PX4 type F Storm in 9mm. Feel free if you have the time to include any specials/recommendations you may have (not listed here already ;)) for a high-capacity 9mm in SA/DA. thanks in advance - I recently made the hour drive to pick up a long gun from...
