I've been in home automation for a while. I started with SmartThings but moved to Hubitat a couple years later (I'm now using Home Assistant). I'd avoid SmartThings because Samsung frequently updates, and breaks, SmartThings. Hubitat is all local control. It doesn't rely on the cloud.
Adopted from the Clay County animal shelter a few months ago. Mama (Waverly) on left and her son Wagner on the right. We call them Wavy and Waggy. They are both sweet and friendly.
A couple of things: by accepting the canon of Scripture you are accepting the authority of the early church (e.g. Orthodox) who determined which books should be included. Second, various Church Fathers throughout the centuries testify to the faithful transmission of the teachings. Aberrant...
foszoe can defend this better, but an Orthodox will say that the Tradition was taught by Christ to the Apostles themselves and faithfully taught from that point on. So it's not a man-made tradition, but the faithful transmission of Christ's teachings to the Apostles, which is why Paul in 2...
I'm journeying down this path at the moment. I've been doing some considerable reading on Orthodoxy and listening to various Orthodox podcasts and it's been very eye opening. Things that don't make sense as a Protestant, make much more sense within an Orthodox understanding. There seems to be an...
I started out with Samsung SmartThings, moved to Hubitat after a year, and have now been running Home Assistant for a couple of years. Most of my light switches are smart switches. I have a Zooz dry contact relay to control my garage door. I have Zooz dimmers on some dimmable lights, and a Zooz...
Sorry to resurrect a 6 year old thread, but I'm needing some water treatment advice. I know it's been discussed on INGO before and a search turned up this thread.
So, after 6 years, what's the experience been with a UV system?
Better yet, does anyone have suggestions for reputable and...
I just started some multifocal contact lenses. I've never needed vision correction before, but being in my late 40s now requires reading glasses. I'm on day 6 of these and I think my eyes have adjusted. It's made a huge difference. I don't need reading glasses. It took a couple different trial...
My dad's on the board at SCIREMC. You wouldn't believe the amount of training board members have to go through. It's far more complex than I would have imagined. It's quite a commitment in time and energy.
Also, keep in mind it's a cooperative. The members own the cooperative.
People who study this knew that it was coming, it wasn't a conspiracy. A faculty member where I work wrote her dissertation in the mid-1990's and predicted that a coronavirus would be the next big health issue.
I'm planning on replacing my York heat pump system in the next 4-6 weeks. I'd like to move to Natural Gas heat. I have two quotes from reputable businesses. One quoted a Trane XR17 air conditioner with a Trane S9X2 gas furnace, the other is a Tempstar TVA936GKA air conditioner and a F96CTN08017...
