Most people, by and large, want to be left alone by their government. Some of them have been conditioned to accept government largesse as a normal think, but they still would rather not be hassled by the government. As long as government hassle stays below a certain level, most people don't get too agitated. Now government interference in _everyone's_ life is becoming pervasive - and people are starting to wake up.
