    In the country, hopefully.
I do chain hang, so this looks like it will work for me. Sun, lead spall, and old age wears on the wood stands I have and eventually the bolts tear out of the wood or the wood collapses..
I used to chain hang; I would never invest in carabiners as they’d get shot up. Maybe not from marksman type stuff but definitely from the run and gun type stuff.

I recently moved to hanging from sections of rubber belting I used old grain leg belting which I’ll never run out of.
It’s not very responsive though, silenced the movement and ring a lot.

When I get time I might cut up some thinner conveyor belting I have and see if it gives better response.

It is really nice not ever breaking a chain though, I don’t want to go back.

Every year, the big shots at work go down to The King Ranch to hunt Nilgai.

They bring back around 15-20 of them. Bulls can get up to around 600 pounds, and 300 for cows.

I know the guys who process them, and will be using Nilgai scraps for coyote bait tonight.

We started using rubber at the range for the same reason. Much prefer the chain but they don't last long until someone hits them.

I have also heard firehose is a good compromise for movement and a little louder than heavy rubber. I have a request in for old hose but haven't seen any yet.

Colt/CZ Python 3 inch with bead blast finish. I had toyed with the idea of taking my 3 inch SS Python and doing a mild custom like recrown the barrel, bevel cylinder holes, beadblast etc and then Colt came out with these matte Pythons. I took the Wilson sights off my original 3 inch and put them on this matte one, they also come with hogue grips so I took those off and put the small wood panes on. The matte on the 3 inchers looks good but i'm not sure i'd like it on the 4 or 6 inch.

Dealing with the second loss of close family member in the last month or so. This time one of my wife's (younger) siblings. Completely unexpected. Been visiting some family and trying to help out with some stuff (mostly my wife and daughter due to my back issues).

    Been a really rough month.

My condolences and prayers for your family.

I hear fire hose works well.

Oops. Like KJQ, I'm a day late.
Prayers up for WebSnyper and family. Unexpected loss and sounds like way too young. Condolences
