See a pizza is a form of pie, made with flatbread, tomato, local vegtables, local cheese, and meats. It has been around for 3000+years(Marco polo introduced it to Italy after a trip to China). Pineapple was neither available or even though about when it came to pizza....for thousands of years.
Then in 1962 a Greek who had moved to Canada named Sam Panopoulos thought it would be interesting to try, being the hippie he had become in Canada. Thus a can of pineapple was added to pizza, and force feed to small children who were raised to spread it as a new religion. To this day the descendants of those children spread the false religion of pineapple on pizza, trying to convert ever more humans into their cult. I have no doubt BigMoose and OneBadV8 are direct descendants, at the very least kissing cousins of those original children.

Luckily they are still very much a minority on earth, otherwise all traditions, all values, and all other belief systems would be destroyed.

I will stay strong, and maintain the 3000+ year old traditions of what a quality pizza is and it will never involve a pineapple.

I can’t stand deep dish pizza! Too thick, too gooey, and the crust is usually soggy. Thin crust for the win!
Then you have never had a well done deep dish pan pizza with a crispy olive oil crust. It should not be gooey, it should be like great baguette, crispy outside delicious inside.

I too love a the NY style pizza. But any pizza must have a well made dough before you get a great crust. The BS crusts are why the cheap crap relies in a bunch of cheap toppings, including junk like pineapple. Great pizzas need little toppings…

There is a steak and pizza place in the loop. It is around the corner from the Harold Washington Library.

They have fabulous deep dish spinach pizza.

I used to do patent research at HWL and would have a slice nearly every time.

This is my 2nd or 3rd post on this forum and I know this is bait but 50 is a very generous minimum.
I can ramble on and on about my favorite guns, the 2nd amendment, sport shooting, self defense in both cities and being prepared in the event of a wildlife attack when I'm fishing in bear country
heck I'd be halfway to 50 posts if I was literate enough to know how to reply to people on this forum.... not that I'm eager to post a classified ad, pretty much everything I got I wanna keep unless its a trade that's really favorable or something I really want and I didn't join just to take advantage of someone for a good deal

in all seriousness if someone can point me to a guide on how to properly use the reply system on this forum I'd be grateful.

Bottom right corner of the post you want to reply to says Reply. Tap on that and it will quote the post. You can add your reply there. Or if you just want to add to a thread, go to the bottom of the page. There will be a box to type your stuff in. Then hit the Post reply button.
    And welcome to INGO!

OHHH thanks I see now, I couldn't find it on the people I wanted to reply to but it looks like the thread is locked. I'll learn it just takes me a little while, at least that's what I kept saying to the academic probation board when I tried to get a college degree

lol no budgets too tight for new toys right when I'm still tryin to get enough fuel to play with em.
It was my own intro thread, I wanted to thank a few people who were specifically from my area of NWI, idk if its customary to lock intro threads after a while or if I made a no-no, guess I'll learn either way

Intro thread get locked after either 24 or 48 hours, I can't recall which.

But you can still hit the 'Like' button next to the reply button and that will at least let the person know you read their welcome to you.
