Admittedly I'm way out of practice. I used to have time and a place to shoot whenever I wanted. Now I have a wife and two kids and no property to shoot on.
I'm lucky as far as ranges. My main range is only 4 miles from my house and there are 4 other clubs within an hour that I shoot IDPA at. I only shoot .22 at home even though I have 10 acres and a safe backstop because my neighbors run an agritourism and treat us well. (Plow our 500 foot driveway in the winter, mow the valley, etc.).

BTW, I really like my 365XL with Wilson grip module and Holosun EPS Carry.

Shot a P365XL with a Wilson Grip yesterday back to back with my P365 X Macro. I still prefer my X Macro, but may pick up an XL at some point for when I need to conceal better. Both are very nice guns.

Anyone having rust issues with their 365 and magazines? Seems like this is a common issue and Sig will not warranty it.

I still have not had a chance to run any rounds through my XL yet. S&W has my Sheild as of Tuesday.

No. Had just a bit of surface rust on mag release on one, but took it out and cleaned it up. Haven't seen it on mags

I've had rust on 2 carry guns, my original Shield and my P10C. I haven't carried this gun enough yet, but fully expect rust on it as well. Sweat plus metal = rust, so make sure you keep your guns well lubed and clean often in the summer.

From the videos I've seen this is more than a little bit of rust from summer sweat.

No. On the slide, FCU and mags. Mags were the worst
A friend of mine bought a 365XL last year. We went out and shot it two days after and then he put it away in the safe. He told me when he got it out about a months later one of the mags had rusted. I don't think he had any rust on the gun.

Depends on where the sweat is going? :dunno:

I know with both guns I had rust, it was on the mag and the mag release. The mag release on both guns actually locked up and I couldn't drop my mag. That's how I knew there was an issue.

I think method of carry has a lot to do with whether rust will be an issue or not. I have never had a rust issue with any pistol, but I don’t carry IWB against skin. I can’t imagine sweat being an issue if you aren’t sweating directly on the gun.

Ironically for the P10C I was carrying in an OWB pancake holster with a full sweatguard, but that was against the skin. On days like today with the heat and high humidity, I sweat enough to make it around the sweatguard evidently. I'm too hot natured to have another t-shirt tucked in against my skin and I don't carry open carry, so I just have to deal with it.

I most often carry IWB but the hybrid IWB holster shields the gun for the most part and I make sure to remove the gun from the holster when, wipe it down, etc after days like that.

Then the backup same model guns keep duty in the temp/humidity controlled safe, in case there ever is an issue.

I just checked my extra mags (4) and none of them have any signs of rust. My extra mags have been in my truck since late last year. The only time they leave my truck is when one goes in a pocket or I shoot at the range. Then they get wiped down and reloaded.

I'll field strip both 365's I have out of curiosity tonight. Externally there is no sign of rust on either of them.
