I used to work with an ex-LEO and his argument was always against Constitutional Carry because individual towns/locales could ban the carry of firearms if there was no State provision to provide for it. Indiana has a state law that prohibits local governments from regulating firearms.

Sorry.... Too lazy to go look up the IC. I'm sure someone will be along to fill the void.

He is misguided. The Town of Speedway banned concealed carry in 1966.

I knew this would happen. I had this feeling all along it would get voted on but with some am men. I worked on legislation when I lived in DC. I've been around politics my whole life. Even while serving in the military. My Cousin just retired as state rep last year. Uncle former Senator. This is typical politicians. See...in the eyes of those who were against it, they think it's making them look good as if they did something to appease everyone. When really they aren't fooling anyone and just PO'd those who voted them in. This is what democrats and RINOS do well. Because they all know they have to make it seem like they did something when it's election time or if they plan to run again or for a higher office.

Just remember all this when you go to the polls to vote. Write down names. Fire them all I say! Too late for me this time but I've already started exploring running. I started when I moved here this summer. I made the ballot in Virginia I sure as hell should have no issues here.

I got this email a minute ago from the NRA-ILA

"Despite House Bill 1077 being gutted in committee and reassigned, and the deadline for the Senate to consider House bills has passed, constitutional carry is still alive in the Senate.

Because constitutional carry was previously approved by the House, it could be inserted into other legislation that is moving through the Senate. Yesterday, Senate President Pro Tempore Rod Bray said that the Senate will pursue this path to move constitutional carry.

Police hating the plebeian citizens trying to acquire freedoms that would take away a valuable revenue stream so they grandstand at meetings? Color me shocked.

Why is it every time people try to lessen restrictions, it's police who are the most adamant against citizens. They are not your friends, the blue you back will be the same people who would gladly kick down your door when they get an order to confiscate guns. Oath breakers who care more about their paycheck than they do about the citizen's right to keep and bear arms.

Not until I moved back here, did I ever see or hear of an anti 2A police leader like the super is here. It's sickening he doesn't support this. He'll say he's for the 2nd amendment but he's not really if he thinks people should have a permit. Just because you wear a badge doesn't make you qualified to carry then. How about that?? I bet he wouldn't like hearing that.

I know many officers around the counry that are trigger happy, think they are above the law, and can't hit the broad side of a barn at quals. Yet, they are the ones enforcing upon those who have a constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Sad to say about my brothers in blue but this guy is a joke and an embarrament to law enforcement every where.
