McAuliffe's count has been increasing by .1% about every 15 minutes, with 94% counted :( this isn't looking good. A recount will be called for no doubt if Youngkin holds him off.

    Mc 48.7%
    Youngkin 50.6%

    Yep. Ballot printer goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT

Funny how the dems ALWAYS seem to come from behind at the last minute*. How convenient.

*and how any "missing" ballots always are weighted unnaturally in favor of the dems. You never seem to hear about boxes of Republican majority ballots appearing out of nowhere.

I’ll tell you what, if youngkin is declared the winner, I might actually have a little more faith in the election system moving forward.

I’ve seen what you’ve been seeing and it hasn’t been sitting well with me. I just can’t fathom how SO many people could still be voting ‘blue’ after this past 10 months; either their cheating game is beyond the point where we’ll ever catch on, or there are far more stupid people in the US than I could have ever possibly imagined.

I’m admittedly biased, but if everyone else paid attention as much as we do here, the vote count would currently be 97%R to 2%D and 1%U with a +\- 2% margin of error.

But remember there are those that are clueless that still go in and just blindly pull the lever for their team "just because"

And speculation/polling is that if voters have kids in school they are overwhelmingly voting R. Everyone else is status quo and leaning D.

I grew up and was educated in VA. The majority of my VA friends and family are R and they don't have kids in school. They have grandkids in school.

They learned how to did that with “Landslide” Lyndon Johnson and his Ballot Box 13 way back in 1948 (although that was a Democrat primary election).

and the 'voting' in Virginia began September 17, well before the school board confrontation, and McAuliffe's gafs. I'm sure there were folks who blindly voted for him, and then later decided to NOT vote for him. Mail-in voting sux.

Has been difficult to get any enthusiasm about this one. If you somehow pull this out and win, what do you win? McAulliffe is detestable, but the sweater-vest gives me a bad feeling. Another Republican who's found out how to fake concern for the culture war - at election time - then go back to padding corporations once in office?

Dems simply overplayed their hand on the CRT stuff, and forgot that for most voters, "Education" means the 3 Rs, not indoctrination. The "Parents shouldn't be telling schools what to teach" comment will turn out to be the "Basket of Deplorables" for this contest. Oops!

With as many people that send their kids to private and/or religious schools, you would think the Democrats would have figured this out by now.
