I had two deliveries today ..... from Midway, and from Primary Arms.
I swear that one of my boxes looked almost identical to Tarzan's box ! :lmfao:

Finally found an R-One handguard (M5 / .308) for my eventual AR build.
There hasn't been one available for a long time .... even at the $200+ that they get for the things. But, I wanted it to be a complete set, with the Aero Precision upper/lower.

Also, the Underwood rounds (500 S&W magnum) haven't been available in a long time.
Loaded with Hornady FTX hollowpoints and nickel-plated .... umm, umm, 350 grains of goodness.
And I was very thrilled to add a Swiss M57 bayonet to my bayonet collection. It comes with a steel sheath (original), and a vinyl frog (not original). Midway picked me out a good one ! Love that Swiss steel !!!

I have a few bayonets, not really a collection. The oddest is the the Wilkinson for the Martini Henry. It mounts horizontally.

Very cool, LE ! I've actually just started buying some bayonets .... it's kind of a natural extension of my love for knives.
If I decide to buy a milsurp rifle for every bayonet that I want, it could get to be a very expensive hobby ! ;)

This one came on the rifle when I bought it back in the 80s. I was surprised to see it mounted the way it was. Only have one other for an Enfield. martbayo.jpg

I have a Carcano 1891 TS Carbine Moschetto Truppe Special that is missing the side mount bayonet. Last I knew the bayonets were as much or more than the rifle (not that the rifles are worth much but still...).

The seller at the OGCA show told me that it was some British general's idea to slash back and forth with it in bayonet combat.

Martini rifles are long and with that bayonet on it you feel like you are holding a sarissa from Macedon.

I spoke with Mouse yesterday on the phone and he sounded great, so I was surprised this morning about the emergency surgery. Mouse was the first INGO member that I met when I was selling a 2 piece guide rod for a 1911. I'll have to tell that story at a gathering. Still praying for him and the family.

Oh, and yesterday this showed up.
I've been on a buying spree (wife is gonna faint when she sees the credit card bill)..... but ya only go around once, am I right ? :@ya:

Grade 1 Austrian milsurp helmet .... patterned exactly after our original USA M1 helmet. :patriot:
I even had some photographic fun with it. Was going after the just-left-a-battlefield look !
