If I still had the disposable funds before my last purchase last month I'd be trying to barter. Got too much going on right now to scavenge stuff to sell in time. Not a bad price though.


Got a decent sized cyst in my brain that has grown in the place of the tumor that was removed when I was 7. So waiting to get in to Rush to see a neurosurgeon and see if they want to operate to drain or remove it. If they do want surgery it would have to wait till next year since I'm almost 6 months in with my second railroad and don't get FMLA till March next year. Where rhe cyst is located it may be a factor in my mood changes, so my family doctor prescribed cymbalta to ease the moods till then.

I need lunch location suggestions. Preferably west of Cline Ave.

Preferably a place with a good beer selection or a brew pub. Must have good food! Thoughts?

I’m thinking of Flossmoor Station in Flossmoor, IL, RegionAle on 41 in Schererville or 18th Street Brewery in downtown Hammond (behind the federal courthouse).

Anywhere else I should consider?

Doc's Smokehouse on Calumet Ave. in Dyer has a great beer selection with 60 rotating taps. The food menu is mostly BBQ plates and sandwiches but it's pretty good if you like that.

Your other three choices are all good too.

Westbound 80/94 was a parking lot this afternoon from I-65 and west. There was a stalled truck at Cline and the posted travel time to the state line was 54 minutes. I went that way this afternoon due to a crash on 30 in Valpo that had everything backed up. I jumped off on I-65 south and made my way home through Griffith. Was only about 10 minutes later than normal.

Ever since the economy has rebounded from COVID, my commute home in the afternoon has been as bad as ever.

Agree! Friday coming back from chiraq is the worse. Always an accident on the road. Doing the side streets from downtown to Whiting is just a tad better but not by much.
