Just ordered a refurbished Vortex spotting scope from AA Optics. I've wanted a decent one for awhile. I've had cheap ones in the past and they're about worthless. Just want it for shooting at the range.

Good to hear! I've got several Vortex scopes and love them. And Alan is such a pleasure to deal with. He'll often match prices on new scopes, unless he just can't (against Amazon prices, etc.), and even in those situations, I'll go with him.

INGO was slow today, so I was just scrolling around looking for something new to read and happened to see that AA had refurbs on sale (thread started 4/29). I went ahead and pulled the trigger when I saw it. And I hadn't even had my first beer yet, which is usually a factor in these impulse buys!
