They never did. Every neighborhood has at least a couple of loud idiots in it.
In truth they do exist We have installed HVAC systems at folks houses that you are surprised at how quite they are. Can hear a cell phone conversation 3 houses down its so quite. Not saying there is never a disturbance but yes. They do exist.

I really don't understand the "it can't happen here" mentality. As others has said, no place or neighborhood is immune from the insanity anymore and it's by design folks.

There are power brokers hell bent on destroying the moral fabric of our nation and they've been at it for the better part of 60 years. We're simply reaping what's been sown over that time.

I am hopeful that the radicalism of the left is now fully on display for all to see and eyes will be opened to it. I think we're already starting to see some pushback finally. Maybe it's too late, maybe it's not, but we will hit a tipping point at some point in the future. The insanity is close to a full boil. Hopefully we can turn things around without too much actual bloodshed.
I too, believe we will eventually reach a tipping point. However, I am concerned about if there will be a response to the tipping point. This has happened time after time in other civilizations and other countries and there has never been a significant response to the radical overthrow of those countries. It may be from not recognizing it early enough, or not being armed, or not having a large enough number of people brave enough to fight it. I just hope that we don't end up being one of those countries that people will read about in history books and ask, "How could they let that happen?"

I am looking at houses away from this madness, the whole neighborhood has gone downhill in the last 2 years and I think it's time to relocate.
Might need to start here. But that still might not be far enough.

My neighbor 3 doors down finally had enough. He went and shot a guy and tried to burn the guys house down too. I have never seen him the whole time I've lived here.

Now youre makin me nervous. There is a guy that has lived in a house across the street and on the other side of my neighbor's back yard as the crow flies for probably 10 years now.
Dude is in his 30s. Premature male pattern baldness. I probably see him once every couple months. He is never outside. His parents used to do his yard work, but now he hires a guy. (who is a moron... blows the leaves in a pile to the curb. Except we dont have that kind of vac truck collection program here so they rot and blow around and clog the sewer grates)

He quite literally gets into his car, raises the garage door and leaves. He returns and puts the door down as he is getting out. Just bizarre.

And what do you do when you come home from work? Why you get out of the car and go to the mailbox to collect your mail. Not this guy. Creepy the more I think about it.

It can happen anywhere at any time, unfortunately. I live off 100S and am pretty much surrounded by subdivisions and a golf course so until some of my neighbors start moving for greener pastures I’m hoping my little area remains safe and peaceful. But as they continue to line all of the roads and cornfields out here with the concrete monsters they call distribution centers and warehouses my hopes are beginning to fade. As they hire people for these monstrosities they will need places to live and frequently that means apartments and cheaper housing subdivisions. Then comes the stores they need for groceries, gas, clothing and other necessities. Soon the quite, safe, suburban area becomes just a continuation of the city and with that comes the problems. Look at what happened when they built a Walmart in the middle of nowhere between Avon and Danville. It used to be all cornfields and now it’s almost a town of its own.
All these small towns want to grow, attract business and reap in their tax dollars. Unfortunately with growth you get the good and the bad. So unless there are drastic changes in the way we treat crime and criminals nowhere is really safe anymore. Thugs go where the targets are easy and the chances of getting hurt are slim. Stay alert and always be prepared.
Just down the road? I'll keep an eye out for the Mustang ;)

Just saw on the TV (sorry, no link): robbery. BPD going with meeting to exchange stuff/money. First I've heard there was also a woman in the car with the murder victim.

There are places without water and sewer systems (hence, no apartments) where building lots must be 1+ acre (or larger) that have a tendency to stay pretty quiet.

I guess BPD is making their lobby available 24/7 for transactions. They say everything is video taped. If we are selling a firearm in a private sale, should we do it there?

BPD has done that for a while. I've used their parking lot, which is also on camera.

Not yet sure if "stuff for money" was "drugs for money". IMHO: the latter goes bad pretty often.

Our little town isn't so little any more.

As far as the Brownsburg shooting goes, the police believe it was some sort of "transaction" according to the story I read this morning.
When I looked up the name of the 20 year old who was killed, he already has a record for dealing.
