Yesterday was AG day pretty much the biggest event for FFA at the School. My wife is a middle school teacher and is one of the teachers that head up FFA. So we have the Breakfast buddys, Oatmeal and Maple, they are about 3 months old and both Does. They are both bottle babies so they are exceptionally good with people.

So off to AG day they go. Later in the day One of the middle school students was asking why my wife referred to them as Ladies. My wife told the junior snowflake that they are girls or doe's to be technical. Then the flake goes on to say how its not fair to label them as the do not have assigned gender! My wife then says they have either internal or external plumbing, ie a boy or a girl as they are internal they are Girls, period! There are Two genders not 50 not 100 but 2!

So junior snowflake leaves all put out, the comes Senior Snowflake the band teacher telling my wife she had no right to say what she said and that everyone gets to pick their own gender. My wife said being a science teacher I pretty sure I am up on the x and y thing so yeah there is that have a nice day.

Ugh... I've been hearing lots of people singing the praises of their "Nashville" relocations and had been fearing these stories would become more and more common down that way.

Hopefully that's all the more your wife hears about it, but that doesn't seem to be how that side works. I have a feeling that band Karen is already speaking to a manager.

Yeah we can do with out the transplants especially the ones from California ie the band teacher. Who happens to be the only male on her floor. So she has already had no use for him prior for reasons I will not go into but the guy is a class act who thinks of no one but himself and thinks since he is the only male that uses the bathroom he should not have to have courtesy for others!

For some reason he keeps getting pulled over for out of state tags go figure lol.

I've primarily been hearing of Californians, New Yorkers, and those being priced out of the Austin market ended up in Nashville. It appears there are growing tech and financial sectors there? News like that is the only reason I'm glad we get snow and ice up here...

Gotta say, I'm super curious how badly one Californian can destroy a bathroom that people who don't even go in are upset about it?

Well there are all women teachers on her floor except for the Transplant, wife even put cheerieos in there for him. Nashville is crazy for home prices and everything there seems to go up ie condos, high rise etc. Thankfully we are far enough from it but still we get a few real winners that rent in the area and ultimately decide real quick they would be happier elsewhere.

    I assumed it was a dedicated Men's room. :)

Hopefully you stay far enough from it. My fear is that the city will push out to find you.

Yes we are a ways from it and lack the cosmopolitan stores, uberdash etc that they can not live with out, lot to be said for leading a simple life.

That's my plan too. I'm trying to buy enough land to make sure it doesn't come to find me in 30 years and without a way to make that land earn its own money, that's pretty expensive.

Oddly enough the entire floor where my wife works are very Limited Government, old school values, kind of people with a great disdain for common core etc, so there is hope.
I don't know if your wife enjoys adult beverages, if yes? She drinks for free for life.

depending on the area, there are some places not off the interstate that are very reasonable. There is a place down the road from us on the market for 3 days sold full boat offer 2.7 Million. Prices are insane in some areas. I am guessing someone wanted that place. We are very fortunate behind our back 40 there is TVA land that will never be built on. There are nice places out there just takes time and sometimes an inside line on areas that may be better suited to your needs.. Believe it or not some of the ground I cover for work still has active stills.

Everything I see around here is $10k/acre+ for 100% undeveloped farmland, so then you're in it for the entire bill to build on it too. Neighborhood lots of 2-ish acres are selling for $60k/acre, plus the custom home soon-to-be constructed on it. The economics of swinging a $500k+ mortgage are not in my favor. However, I've seen more bank auctions and foreclosure notices in the last 6 months than I have the last 3 years. Not that I wish that on anybody, but if people can't pay for it then the prices are going to be falling.

    We shall see.

Yeah we bought our place on pre foreclosure. We were able to pick it up 50% under market value. We had a full relocation package, all of our ducks were in a row we able to close in 7 days and things fell into place.

Good luck I hope things work out for you.

Sounds like we're both gonna need some luck if we're to outrun the moonbeams that are invading the heartland.
