I would almost be willing to put money on it, if I wouldn’t need that money for the increased gas and food prices.

I’m betting by the end of the year we begin hearing about North Korea launching missiles and poking at the US again.
But then we'll hear how that was Trump's fault for 'legitimizing' a head of state who was an unreliable negotiating partner and it was just a matter of time before it happened, not Xiden's fault - it was inevitable

The same strategy will be used when Xiden's policies crater the economy/markets

I recommend using LiveUmap to keep track of the Middle East. 98% of the attacks, bombing and general mass casualty events that happen over there go unreported. Then when events with US military being involved do get reported the location often gets “fixed” to it having happened somewhere a little less diplomatically sensitive than the real location.

Like when some Iranian fighter jets got caught unawares by a pair of F22’s that basically top gunned them in 2012. Happened over “the gulf of oman in international waters” :shady::tinfoil:

    edit: link to site https://isis.liveuamap.com/
My point was, there was a time as recently as about a month ago, that Iranian-backed militia rockets killing Americans would have been at the TOP of all headline news feeds... not something a person would have to "go looking" for.

Best idea I've read on this thread.
I agree... US boots on the ground should be the LAST option and for a well-defined US interest... since the defeat of the physical ISIS caliphate, I'm at a lost what that crucial US interest is anymore.

The only intended purpose of sending more US personnel to Syria, as far as I can tell, is because Trump was criticized for pulling troops out... the unintended purpose is giving insurgents more targets. Not good.

I'm far from a Biden supporter but if the reports are true and US forces in Iraq were targeted with rocket attacks by Iranian backed militias in Syria a response to those attacks would not be out of line IMO.

I would say the same thing if it were Trump. Gotta be honest here.
You mean like killing the Iranian general responsible for co-ordinating militia operations for the mullahs? Asking for a friend

I wonder if they could put that same team on Mr. Assad?

Vox to the rescue to cover for the hypocrisy.
Vox is left leaning. I would say you were in error, but getting an admission is probably like saying I believe in fairy deity of your choice parental role of your choice.....

And I probably shouldn't have used fairy.

    Seriously though.

Why make a claim without an attempt to make sure it is correct?

We haven't done South America for a while.
Maybe is it their turn again yet?
And it could help convince them to come north too.

Vox is left 'leaning' lol that's like saying AOC is just a little bit socialist. They are hypocrites, it was wrong for the Trump administration to bomb Syria and now the democrats turn around and do the exact same thing. But because Vox quotes the usual suspects who complain about everyone my claim is incorrect? Let me know when the usual suspects go against the administration on something that really matters.

Ask the folks who participated in the Trump/Russian Collusion hoax. Then ask those same people about the Inciting of an Incursion BS.
No I am asking you and others on this forum. If you choose not to answer then don't.

Deflection adds nothing to the conversation

Do you dispute the specific reporting that Democrats are pushing back against Biden"s actions? You specifically said the Democrats said it was OK?

Accuse Kut but can't admit your own error?

AOC, Bernie and a few others are not 'the democrats' they have been outspoken against him since the beginning, AOC just complained about something at the border. I dispute you thinking some Vox story lets the hypocrites off the hook. I don't believe i've accused Kut of anything, I believe you're in error.

So you then are saying you will no longer hold up the views of AOC, Bernie, and a few others which basically means you get to define that at a later date, as examples of the Democrats at large.

    We shall see.

A year or two ago, there was a scam operating on old folks in Indianapolis. A couple hispanic males drove around looking for an old guy puttering around in his garage or yard. (They realize most people don't lock their house while they're out in the yard). One guy would approach the elderly homeowner wearing a work vest, boots, and carrying a walkie-talkie. He would engage the old-timer in conversation with a ruse about "we're in the area looking for work projects." Those trees look like they need to be trimmed, would you like that fence repaired...that kind of stuff. He would get the guy to move around back of the house to inspect the intended work-project. Meanwhile, he's talking to crook #2 on the walkie-talklie, in Spanish, telling him when it's ok to go into the house and hit the bedroom for jewelry and guns. The old-guy doesn't speak Spanish, but is of course enticed by the prospect of getting some physical work done around the house (which he probably is in no condition to do himself) for dirt cheap.

The crooks were usually long gone before anyone suspected anything.

My point (and I do have one): where are all the media foreign correspondents right now? If you answered, "In the backyard, talking about military strikes," go to the front of the class.

The question we need to be asking, is: where is John Kerry right. this. minute.

My guess: in the bedroom, in bed with Iran and preparing to lift some sanctions. Cools the fervor over the recent strikes, while moving the Administration closer to where they want to be.

If you're a student of recent history, you noticed we just had 4 years of a President being undermined by classified leaks from a Foreign Policy Elite.

Biden knows he has to keep on the "good side" of that Elite. If you want to rob a house...you give the guard-dog a steak to keep him busy for a while.

That's what you're trying to say, by doing some lame hit and run on my post with a Vox article you are trying to say the actions of a few democrats represent the democrats at large, I was arguing that's not the case.
