We've had a P7 since 2014, very happy with it.

EDIT; It's a Cal King - which is great if you're 6' or taller. I will note that with an air mattress there's a narrow foam surround which can be compressed if you routinely sit on the edge of the bed.

I've never heard the pump turn on without me changing the pressure.

I slept on one for a few nights while travelling. It takes some getting used to. I came to like it but not well enough that I would pay what they cost. The bottom line is that we all have a unique idea of what constitutes comfortable.

My advice is to try for a deal that allows returning it if you don't like it under reasonable terms, unlike some requirements like similar deals with conventional mattresses which require returning them in their original containers which you will NOT shoehorn the mattress back into that box without the special equipment they use to compress rolled mattresses at the factory.

My wife and I have dramatically different preferences as far as what is comfortable for sleeping. Our last two mattresses have been relatively inexpensive, memory foam, order online types which aren't terrible but there is room for improvement.

My wife and I have had ours for at least a dozen years and I can't imagine having anything else. Having said that, some of it is probably that we have very different ideas about what is comfortable in terms of softness.

We have had one for 12+ years. Best mattress we have ever had.

That said, I really don't change settings. The big selling point is "his and her's" settings, and the fact you don't have to know what you want before you get it. My wife wants to upgrade to the dual-reclining thing.

Note: it does fluctuate with atmospheric pressure. I can tell the weather without getting out of bed.

Wife and I had one for around 10 years. We didn't care for it much, it always felt like we were falling into a hole in the middle of the bed. Ours was one of the lower end models and honestly it wasn't anything more than 2 airbeds wrapped in some foam. Nothing there to justify the cost of the bed. Anyway it wasn't awful but didn't feel it was worth the money. When the displays on the remotes crapped out we decided it was time to get a new bed instead of buying new remotes.

We've had one for over 10 years. I love it. I really wanted the dual adjustable, as it is supposed to help with snoring and heartburn (husband), but he didn't want to spend that much. Now he wants one. Seems most people either love or hate 'em.

By adjustable do you mean two separate air chambers or the option to raise and lower each side independently? We don't have a TV in our bedroom so we don't spend much time lounging in bed so I'm not sure if it would be worth the money to be able to raise and lower or not.

We have had ours for over ten years and I would never consider buying anything else. Ours is a King. A California King may have been better since I am 6'4" but I do not sleep all stretched out anyway.

Back when we bought ours they were really pushing their over priced box springs telling us it needed to be placed on their box springs. Not sure if they are pushing that now, but it is BS. It works on any box spring.

We bought my daughter a Casper which is nice too. If I did not have our Sleep Number I would take a Casper.

We just bought one this weekend and are having it delivered March 8. I’ll let you know.

we got the iLE bed which is currently 50% off. We had laid on a friends Sleep Number previously and liked it. When they dialed in our numbers at the store it was amazing how much of a difference it made.

I think we are going to love it.

we already have separate air chambers, i meant to raise and lower each side independently.

Mar 8th? That bed/sale is why we were planning to go have a look. Are they three weeks backed up on delivery/setup?

Wife and I have different ideas on the ideal mattress firmness. The sleep number bed solved this. We have had ours for 5 years and it has been great.

We just bought the plain plastic platform - no springs, pretty solid, but light enough.

A co worker sounds like a sleep number commercial. Then he starts talking about how much the parts for it cost when they fail. I'll keep buying a new conventional mattress every couple of years.
