What happened to JetGirl?

I was not a member then but I was in the loop. Looked to me like a couple of female members were chased off by the mods

Yep. I'm in contact directly with 88GT (a neighbor actually and our kids play together regularly), and tangentally with Jetgirl on FB thanks to our common friendship. I personally relayed the invite 6 or so months ago to them to return, mentioning the change in mods, attitudes, etc.

I was told not only did that bridge burn, it fell over and then sank into the swamp. (bonus points if the get the reference) Not a chance either of those two will make an appearance here again I guess.

He worked very hard to make the changes that would get this place back on the rails and it was a struggle. He is still in that fight when these old mods stir this crap. Now I am afraid he is done. Short of curb stomping a few idiots (not going to happen) he sees no end besides letting them eat themselves.

So, let's review.

88GT got banned by a mod. ~~ You know who you are, you're not a mod any more, and that is better for the forum.
JetGirl stopped posting ~~ was not banned ~~ in response to the banning of 88GT.

I interact with both of them regularly on a different social media site. They are good to go, not missing us as much as we are missing them.

I wouldn't blame him. We've butted heads before, but I think he's been invaluable to this board. Unfortunately, I think a big problem is something only Texkev can fix. The problem as I see it is that this board really has only one moderator. If you look, there's a few that haven't been visibly involved for 6 months, and one for almost a year. This leaves one moderator to take all the work load and it's wrong. Texkev needs to clean house and get ACTIVE moderators to help.

We lost a lot of fun interaction with several ladies during that time. Like Cameramonkey said above, my understanding is that 88GT won't be back and JetGirl is with the banned. Absolutely there was a mod responsible for bait and ban on several.

Some ladies were simply the victims of misbehaving 'otherhalves' - miss RedneckReject terribly. You really missed out on 88GT's gardening posts. Every spring it bugs me that she isn't here, would love to ask her some questions but there are always other communication methods. All in all the forum is what you make of it...sometimes more of a dumpster fire and other times more of a campfire.

You know him well enough that he won't turn from a fight for the right cause. The mouse is not one to suffer the bull sh*t.

I think it’s fair to say that the people have been heard and those concerns should go to the top. He’s not alone in the fight, by any means.

I will be among the first to say I would hate to see him go, but to see him carry the whole thing so much is to see him suffer because he loves this place. TexKev needs to get him Judge Dredd and Judge Roy Bean for mod help
