Trump will win on election day in a landslide. Then, over the next few weeks, mail-in ballots will come flooding in until there are enough Biden votes for Kamala Harris to become president.

I don’t know, maybe a little naivety on my part, but I feel like Trump is going to get trounced. This whole cycle is chaos so who really knows. Regardless, I don’t see either side accepting the results so the aftermath could be interesting.

This is interesting. So if Covid isn't a valid reason to request an absentee ballot, how can it be that it is a valid reason to promote mail-in voting? Seems contradictory to me. Granted this is particular to Indiana and a few other states, but still...

Fear of COVID-19 is not a reason to vote absentee but some voters say it needs to be

I've always looked forward to voting in person. The lines have never been longer than an hour at most.

But this year? All those people filtering down to a dozen or so voting machines. One sick person or asymptomatic carrier can leave a lot of residue in the voting kiosk.

    Just sayin'

I ain't askeered. :) Although we're voting early this year. Not because of Covid, but moreso to minimize the risk of any shenanigans that might arise from protesters or something.

I was at the VA yesterday for some blood work. Everyone wearing masks, "social distancing" markers on the floors and seating spread out.

Still, everyone was eyeing each other like plague rats. :)

If it’s a big worry, wear a mask. Use nitrile gloves and/or hand sanitizer. You’ll be fine. Or, if you’re voting for Biden, :runaway: it’s gonna kill you. The virus is everywhere! :runaway:

No worries about wasted gasoline for me. Both the early voting location and my regular polling place are less than a mile from my house. And if I can survive hundreds of people in the grocery store filtering through 2 or 3 registers, I can survive the polling places. For the primaries, they were sanitizing the booths between voters. I'd imagine it will be the same for the general. I know they're not doing that at the grocery stores.

If you can stand shoulder to shoulder, in the masses, mask-less, to exercise your right to protest, you can stand in a line, perhaps even toe-to-heel, wearing a mask, to exercise your right to vote. I’ll be heading to the polls for early voting as soon as they’re open. To vote “no” to bat**** crazy authoritarian social justice. I’m voting no ****ing way to a president Harris.

Seriously, if that ****ing opportunist **** ends up as President it would be the most present signal of how flawed our election system is.

And it will be all Alpo’s fault.

If Trump didn't Tweet, he'd have this election hands down. A 70+ year old man should not tweet. No upside.

If you want to blame someone, blame Twitter.

Why wait until the 4th? I am concerned about safety also but have managed to vote 4 times already. This post is proof that the Republicans try to suppress the vote!!!

For safety's sake, all Democrats are to vote on November 4th this year.

Yeah. Let the word get out about what the administration is doing via the media. That will give us a proper picture of what is going on...

About 80% of Trumps tweets are simply clips of his speeches, announcements of new policies and initiatives, etc. Given the state of the media, a channel for direct communications with the public is very valuable.

The Democrats have said to follow the science, and Dr. Fauci and other experts have said that voting in person is safe. Biden and Clinton have voted in person, and they are both in at least one higher risk category due to their age. Using the virus to promote mail-in voting (not absentee voting) is disingenuous, and just another way for the losing party to claim that the election is illegitimate.

Besides, what are the Democrats worrying about? Just like the mass protests, they'll be voting for justice and equity, so the virus can't affect them.
