Went to pick up my 1851 conversion revolver from Allen M today, he did his usual good work. I asked for a period sight for the gun and he delivered. The 1851 is one of the nicer looking conversion guns, but just has a cheap post sight on it. The rounded brass one looks much more original.
    Looks great!

Uberti, 1872 Colt or an 1875 Remington will be next for me. I need some cheap .38s I can afford to shoot.

    .
Those are the 1871 conversions, a somewhat later model, good guns. More modern revolvers appear in the 1870s, Remington the 1875, S&W top breaks and Colt the SAA. Still, back then you could buy a conversion gun for a lot less and people did.

Learned something from Allen today, I did not know the difference between a 1911 and a 2011.

    Yup.

This is the same slide you saw on the 2011. We just finished this one a couple weeks ago. I decided I wanted a comped 2011 and this slide became the base for the build. The frame in this pic it the one in Allens thread "Fitting the slide and frame" and that one will be a 9mm Commander. CKW will take ownership when it is done and yes, she already knows (Sneaky...:shady:) and hit me up for her cut. On her gun. :faint:

Evening all. Good looking conversion LE.

Had a decent day. Mom kept the stormtroopers for a couple hours. Dinner and antiques for Pickle and I. Found some decently priced 30-30 and ought six. Scooped 3 boxes of each in different weights for load test on the m77.

DEFINITELY going to the range in the morning. Think I'll take the Marlin 30aw since you guys have me feeling cowboyish.

Well, tomorrow was open to be the mouses day and possible range time.

    "BUT"...….……...always a "BUT"

The terrorists were taken a bath and when they were draining the tub they fed a washrag to the whirlpool. Yup, it sucked the entire rag down the drain. And no the snake would not retrieve it.

So tomorrow the mouse gets to remove the 4 drawer cabinet to access the water wall for the tub.

So much for my free time.
