It does go stale, ladies and gents. Buy a crap ton of it when it's cheap,. Shoot the pxss out of it when you can, give it to the kids or the boy scouts,. Whatever.

Long guns slung over entry knobs? You think I am a primitive barbarian? Of course not, I built a long gun rack for guests who bring long guns.

Pricing from a reputable shop will only change when the distributor raises the pricing. It has a snowball effect. Distributor raises price to shop, shop raises the price to customer.

If he wasn't reputable I wouldn't be dealing with him.

Otherwise you are making my point. They create the need and adjust the price up in response to the 'need'.

Up til last week I was buying 9mm 16 - 19.5 cents a shot, not in bulk, just box by box off the shelf. What number do you think the roulette wheel will land on now?

They obviously learned nothing from the last time. Problem is that MANY forgave them. Tried buying something from them over 20 years ago. Product was "not as described". Took forever to get it returned and get a refund. Swore to never do any business with the slimy bastards and I haven't. Buyer beware.

i cant believe how many people forgot about the 90 dollar pmags!, or better yet, how many BOUGHT 90 dollar pmags and are now buying 700 dollar cases of 223!

Way too many variables for price of ammo. What a shop usually carries they probably won't be able to get. Aluminum case, steel case, brass case, different grain weights and purposes. Different brands just plain cost more that others and whatever quantity a shop usually buys probably won't be as much as they're allowed to at the moment which can raise price a bit since it's not the same quantity.

Somebody should save these prices to pass along to the next "name" they hire to wear their brand.

I know organizations and individuals need and appreciate sponsors, but this :poop: actually gives them a bad name.

    yep,
I remember meeting a guy to buy a stripped lower receiver for $350 in 2012 and almost buying it for a DIY build!
    glad I didn't try that

I've had a few boxes of Winchester Wildcat that has lasted decades that I have shot periodically (I shoot plenty of other 22 as well) and no issues.

There is plenty of ammo out there that when stored properly has lasted longer than many of us will live.
