Question, since I don't know much about 556 ammo, is there a good reason for me to keep this order for the XM193 NATO stuff, which is about $45 more than I could get a case of AE223M? I have no idea what the difference is between them, from a pure target practice perspective. I'm kicking myself for not looking into pricing before jumping on the deal. Seems prices for 223/556 is cheaper than the last time I bought by quite a bit.

Bring deeply ingrained into AR's I have both target and car disabling ammo. But that is just me. If you are not looking at tis rifle as a HD/retaliation platform then just lean towards target ammo.
I have my mags loaded and labeled as to intent and separated into ammo containers. But that is just me. Stay away from the "El-Cheapo" crap ammo. It runs dirty and is not near as much fun to run.

I'm going to see if I can cancel the order. I found Wolf Gold, which I've been using with no problems with my current AR, for less than $250 a case. That's a huge difference considering I doubt I'll see any difference in shooting it. Or I could go with the slightly cheaper Federal ammo, but still save around $25 counting tax being included.

Both the terrorists have been through it and I did not catch it. Their parents went though it and again I survived. That as a couple of weeks ago. Today I feel it coming.
    Happy new year to me.....:(

Wolf Gold is good to go. I've been using it for years with no issues. Its brass cased, technically labeled as .223 but is loaded to M193 (military 5.56) spec.

We got a bounce house for Christmas. Last night we put it up for the first time.

I am just finishing up a case of the Wolf Gold and had no issues with it. The main difference I’ve seen between that and the 5.56 is that the 5.56 throws a bigger fireball than the Wolf Gold does.

Overall, I liked shooting it. Brass cased and gave me no issues at all.

That was pretty much my experience with it. When I bought mine a few year ago, under $300 a case was considered a decent price, so I bought it without looking around. With tax the Wolf Gold is $45 cheaper... :faint:
