Shoot them both tomorrow. Do a workout and then hit the range. Can hardly wait.

Since the latest hysteria, all other gun purchases, including historical Smiths are on hold until the PACE triads are filled.

Tell me I cannot have something, I will buy 12 of them. Watch this thread for the wrath of an angry Kirk.

Got borh re-zero's. 1.5" low at 25M. Re-confirmed at 100. Both (even that Frankenstein Armalite shooting 1 to 1.4" with 193 ammo!).

Shoot three Alt Cs. I will not discuss the first one (it was rough), but on 2 and 3 I shot them clean. Even centerpunching white dot on the 300M on 2 and 3. Don't ask me to do that again.:D

What is PACE? And I'd assume triads means you'll have three of everything?

    PACE=Primary-Alternate-Contingency-Emergency

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PACE_-_Communication_Plan

4 sets of 3 triads. All weapons are similar as feasible, all using same mags and ammo. Organized with 2 up, 1 back.

    Each triad in different location.

    E.g., Primary Triad:

    1. Colt M6721
    2. Colt M6721 (reserve/back)
    3. Colt AR-15A4 (DMR role)

Screw you and this awesome, money sucking idea.

Thanks for the info. I might be able to swing ~A~ triad, and I was feeling good about that improvement until now!

Back to rifle pictures. I might have some of my own to add later.

Money is already allocated. Think of it as money re-directed. Instead of reviving Old Smiths, buying Old Smith, looking fondly at Old Smiths, it is being used solely to build up the AR inventory. No other gun purpose exists now.

This is a AR10 made in the Netherlands in 1957. It is a Cuban model, named so because a few hundred made they way to Central and South American nations. Castro was among the impressed.

The Cuban models had no bayo lugs or threads for blank fire adapters. So I guess I saved a few bucks on accessories.

This is a 100% original gun and might have been fired a bit. But it certainly has been gently handled and not molested.

Compare the above Cuban to the semi-auto Sudanese sniper AR10 kit gun shown below.

Operation Modernize and Consolidate underway. Gone is the last of the HK91s, the FAL and the last M14.

Two (2) SIG 516s (Verison 1.0, top, and Version 2.0, bottom) acquired in trades appear as the E of PACE, which all use same ammo and mags, takes shape.

It's a solid concept, and those are good looking rifles ! :yesway:

You don't hang on my every word and read my post above? Are you an ex-girlfriend or something?:D

    PACE, Primary-Alternate-Contingency-Emergency

Take the four groups of 3 guns, throw in a dozen mags for each weapon, case, ammo lube, cleaning stuff. Now split them up.

Primary stays with you, alternate, hidden on your property, contingency, some driving, emergency, lot of driving.

I found a set up I like, and just decided to run with it across the board on my ARs. I like the Magpul grips, and CTR stocks, the Midwest Industries rails with a light mounted @ 3:00 o'clock. I like a VFG when I can, an AFG if I have to, and the Surefire Warcomp that allows for one suppressor to fit on all weapons.

I have a 16" 5.56 RECCE, but it doesn't have the Midwest rail or light yet, so it wasn't included in the photo... It's still rocking an old round Troy Industries Alpha. I will say that if they had developed a way for grips and lights to mount on the alpha rail directly like the M-lok does... I'd have all Alpha. I really love the feel of that rail, (and it's pretty light) but you have to add bulky picatinny rail sections to it, and it completely ruins the feel of it.
