Galaxy S5 here, I don't think I could ever own an apple product. My wife has a galaxy s3 but her work gave her aa book pro and a ipad and she refuses to own an iPhone.

This going to be a useful thread to cross reference the next time we have an argument in the political subforum about mean employers not paying enough. ;)

Had a Motorola flip phone for quite a few years. I once broke the screen and the camera on it, so I bought a used one on Ebay for $20 and swapped out the parts.

A couple years ago I "upgraded" to this one:

I am honestly surprised that the iPhone isn't the highest. Guess it's time to get out of my little bubble.

Really? The newest IPhone has all the latest and greatest features...... Of last year's Galaxy. Minus the water resistance and replaceable battery and shatter resistant screen that is actually big enough to see and an intuitive operating system and....

Pssstt....its not shatter resistant, gorilla glass is supposed to be scratch resistant. The iWatch will have a sapphire screen like the new iPhones camera lens and home button. Though I agree with the rest of your post.

LG Octane. It's an awesome phone. Full PHYSCIAL QWERTY keyboard. Let's see your smartphone survive a fall off a car at 30 MPH with no case and come out of it working perfectly and barely scuffed on the corners. This phone did and I love it. The ONLY thing I would improve is the volume on the speaker during phone calls. Although that may just be because dirt and gunk is in the speaker hole.

And I would like to own a smartphone (Android of course), I don't have one because of the price for the phone and for the data which is limited. And also the fact that they won't hold up to my life without a case. And what's the point of getting a sleek and slim smartphone and then putting it in a huge protective case. I'd love a Galaxy S5 but I think I would break it.

android. Only because it was the cheapest phone I could get at the time. I had my Iphone 3 for a couple of years (Got it for free) but it was starting to crap out on me.

iPhone all the way plus my iPad. Best thing in my opinion for basic intuitive function. I have tried android and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. I don't need a bigger screen on my phone. I have my iPad for that. The phone is for basics not to supplement as my computer.

Samsung galaxy note 3....awesome phone. Much quicker than the iphone, and better everything. We'll see how it competes against the iphone 6 but I feel like apple withholds technology that they already have...slowly provided a tiny upgrade each year so that people always want a new phone in one year. From my phone, I downloaded a form, signed it on my phone with my actual signature, and then faxed it back to the appropriate place. Very useful.
