It never fails to amaze me how people can cry and moan about a $100 or $200 difference (unusual though it is) and yet go out and pay $50,000 for a pickup truck, losing thousands driving it off the dealer's lot.

I reiterate, if you got the price you wanted, who gives a sh** what someone else can do? He might have better access to a market that you cannot reach. He might be a liar and cheat, which is beneath you.

    Forget it.

    Move on.

    I have to agree.

Dont know why you would be mad. Its just good business. Buy something and sell it for more. Real simple. We live in a free country!

I don't have a $50,000 truck. I also don't lie or cheat. I guess other people choose to live differently. Let's all hope that ignoring and forgetting it will solve this problem.

Edited to add: I'm refering to people who lie to the seller with comments about how they really want this exact gun and can't afford such a high price. Then turn around and sell it. That's dishonest. I don't think we should forget such actions. Does the seller share blame? Yes, it's his own fault for being a decent person. We should all be jerks. Then we'd all be happy.

Alls fair in love and war.

I could care less who or what the other person tells me...this is the price, I will go this low....after that they can do with it what they want. I got what I wanted, if they get more then more power to them.

Once I sell a gun, I really don't care what the new owner does with it, as far as if he sells it or keeps it.
Eventually they are all for sale. Forget about it, learn the lesson and move on.

I've seen this before on ingo. At least we have the rating system so you can call them out as they liars and cheats that they are!

There will be some members here who will say "you sold it for that price! Don't complain now!" They're usually the scum bags you see illegally flipping guns in the classifieds.

At least, that's been my experience in the past.

It's unfortunate that's been your experience but that's a very limited view on it. If the OP sold an item at a price that he at the time deemed a fair price should the OP not then wipe his hands of the item and not care about how much the buyer gets for it? If the OP sold it too cheap because of a sob story, then the OP needs to learn from that lesson for the next time. It's an unfortunate situation but saying that anyone who says to get over it is a scamming scumbag is asinine.

So I sold a gun on Armslist yesterday. I gave a guy a good deal on it. I bought his sob story I guess. This morning I see it listed for sale for 200$ more. I know it's the gun I sold it has the same serial number. Total BS story about round count and how long he has owned it. I emailed the seller and asked him about it but didn't get a response. Live and learn i guess.

See, the problem is that you are not accustomed to people lying to you, and lying yourself. Now if you were dishonest and a liar then you too would see nothing wrong with lying to others in order to deceive them and make money. That's what you get for being honest. Like the saying goes, "No good deed goes unpunished".

You sold it for that price, don't complain about it now. And in 15 plus years "playing" with firearms, I've sold one and it wasn't "illegally flipped".

Kinda blows that theory in the pie hole.

Did I over-step some line by saying someone who lies and cheats is a scumbag? Did i offend you by saying liars and cheaters are scumbags? Do you feel like i just called you a scumbag?

Are we all supposed to lie and cheat to get along with each other?

It seems like not selling anything is the only way to avoid this.

What i AM saying is that we should not accept this as a part of life! There's a saying that goes something like "Be the change you want to see in the world". Stop thinking that is behavior is just ok and it'll stop being ok!

    I must be getting old.
It still bothers me that I have to expect every sob story to be a lie, that I can't risk picking up hitch-hikers or give a bum a few bucks for a burger.
It's not the money lost that bothers me, it's the way the scammers have made us cynical of everyone.
The real victims are the poor folks that really are in need of some simple charity, but aren't going to get it because of the scammers.
