Im looking at a Original SOE EDC belt but since im new and want to go though as little trial and error I was wondering if I should get one with velcro inner or without. I would wear this mostly with jeans daily, even when not carrying (yes I know but Im not allowed to carry at work).

Does anyone have experience with this company or EDC belts?

This is what im looking at:

Im just looking for an all black version but do like the buckle mechanism. Being new to carry I'm quickly realizing my regular belt is far to flexible.

I have a belt made by my local Amish leather worker. Thing is built like a tank. Quarter inch thick and inch and a half wide. He even guarantees it for 50 years.

I have some SOE stuff, but none of their belts. As a company, I really like their products and service.

I wear one of these belts from comp-tac. I really like it.

I wear Uncle Mikes webbing gun belts with the square cam-action buckle. They are the only belts I own. The webbing is kind of stiff and the buckle NEVER slips. I love them. I pocket carry so holding up my pants is the only issue, but for every day use with gun or without these belts can't be beat. They are cheap as can be and stiff enough to carry a holster. They fit beltloops real tight, so there is no sag and you can pull it up tight no matter how fat you are and it never slips. The best $6 you will ever spend.

The only problem I had with belts like that are you have to take the buckle off the belt to put it on your pants or take it off. I went with a daltech leather belt like the first reply.

I run the SOE Belt and love it. As long as you can comprehend how to run the belt through your loops you will be fine. Check the height of your belt loops, as some pants are made with a slightly smaller 1.5 inch belt loop. I am pretty sure that you can buy a 1.5 inch belt as well if you are unsure. That said I have lost some weight and will have to buy another belt pretty soon. Right now I have the HSGI belt, the Wilderness Tactical belt, and the SOE belt and will be making another purchase from SOE when I finally breakdown and buy it.

I have a crossbreed belt and got the velcro lining just-in-case I wanted to do the tucked, deep conceal thing. I have never had a need for it and would have prefered my belt to be a bit thinner without it. Right now an average phone clip has a tough time fitting around the thicknaess of the belt.
YMMV with the style belt you are looking at and EDC stuff you have, but it's something to think about.

I've been wearing the Datech Force SuperBIO belt for about 6 months and i'm very happy with it. It is very sturdy and looks like nice. I wear a Theis IWB with metal clips and there is not so much as a scratch on the belt. It's also under $50.00.
