I've shot at two with a recurve, while deer hunting Nailed one at just over 40 yards (uphill) and the other ducked me at under 20 (heard bow). I killed that one 2 days later with a .357 :)

.22 mag revolver? Proly like a .22 rf rifle. Snow on the ground will help in recovery.

My Olympic AR-15 in with some .223 varmint rounds if I am calling them, or a bow, 12 gauge or muzzle loader when they walk past in deer season.

My coyote rig is a Remington 700 varmint synthetic in .223. I have also used Rock River ar-15 in .223 with Nikon scope. Both work pretty well for me.

243 for sure. Here in the flat farm country with the strong winds the 243 bucks the wind better. Less wind drift. No runners which is A plus.

I'm kind of surprised that nobody is using a regular old 22lr. Is that not enough these days, or are the coyotes staying further out than what they used to?

Sako .222. What I paid for the rifle with scope wouldn't have bought the scope. It'll bust dumdum suckers at 100yds easy.;):rockwoot:

Another vote for a Sako .222. My dad bought it used way before I came along. It was his groundhog gun of choice. I'm 34, and it still shoots great. Although, its almost too pretty to take out in the woods. Usually I am toting my 700 lvsf in .17 Remington with 30 grain Berger match varmint bullets. They do a phenomenal job.

I've also had good success with my A-bolt in .243 with varmint grenades.

I take a diffrent rifle depending on where Im hunting. If Im huting where I think Ill have a 500yd+ shot I take my 260.

If im hunting brush out to 400yds I take a plan jane ar with a 1-4 scope.

Gun of choice right now would be a 204 but just have not been able to find the perfect rifle to fit my needs. Still leaning towards a NEF but then again I've always had good luck with my Tikka T3 .223. Anyone ever use a 17hmr at all?

Ive killed several with my 17 ranging from 20 yards out to 150. Best way ive found was 20 grain bullets and head shots. Makes for a great night hunting rifle, just aim for the glowing eye and pop. Super accurate for 150 yards and less. Does a number on foxes too without damaging the hide:biggun:
