Does anyone have any recommendation of places to shoot around Noblesville? I've emailed a few ranges in the area but have not received any response in over 2 weeks. Also would prefer to not have to be sworn in, join the circus, participate in 3 events, help with 1 event, stand on one foot and sing "I'm a little tea pot" and still have to pay a boat load of money to join somewhere (Assuming they even ever answer my email...)

    Thanks!! :D

I assume you are referring to Hamilton County Fish & Game (Hamilton County Fish & Game - Welcome!). I got a pretty quick response to email several months ago. They simply said to come to the next scheduled meeting and begin the membership process. I agree it's a little rigid, but it would keep out people who aren't serious.

Other than that range, I don't know of anything close. Wyatt's in Cicero was building a range and then the whole shop folded (ATF).

I'd love to hear suggestions of a place within 15 minutes. I live on the West side of Noblesville.

That "might be" 1 of the 2 I've contacted. :D I might send them another email. I'm on the east side of Noblesville. When is the next scheduled meeting?

Are HCF&G memberships individual or family? In other words, if I joined could my son come with me or would he be a guest?

I was a member at HCFG for a couple years. It is great for getting a chance to shoot up to 200y, so long as no one else is there. I wised they had an electric gate though, maybe they do now.

I am a member of HCFG. Great place to shoot. We are opening 150 and 200 yard ranges this spring. Yes they have family memberships along with "Active" (you work occassionally to help keep the club maintained) or "inactive" (you more or less just shoot there).

Just remember first and foremost this is a "club" not a shooting range...so yes there are "steps" you have to go through to join...this is only done to keep the rifraf out. We are so close to downtown Noblesville that any issues could result in the club being shutdown so we just want to make sure everyone follows the rules and has a good time...or as one of the board members put it "treat it like it is your home" and pick up after yourself :D

I will be there tomorrow for the meeting so stop by and say Hi :patriot:

They're making a ton of changes right now, including building several new bays and a card-lock gate is part of the plan.

If you haven't heard from HCFG it's likely because they are in the process of reviewing and updating all membership information and logging in all the new members. HCFG is a great club and the membership requirements are really pretty easy to complete but it is a club and not just a pay range. Nice to shoot with folks you know and who have had at least some safety training.

I also like Elwood Conservation club. It is not far from Noblesville and I know there are more than a few that come out from that area to shoot. I like their ranges, they have monthly meetings but you are not required to go. Really just pay the yearly dues and shoot during daylight hours.

I believe there is now a range just east of Sr 19 on 206th. The guys at bare arms can help get the contact info.

That's Hamilton County Fish and Game (URL in my post above), and it's been there for like 80 years.

Looks like it is Fox Prairie. Same area, but just opened to the public last year.

I called them today... spoke to a really nice old guy. I'm going to take a look at it this weekend. He invited me to meet him at some barn to pay the fees and get a card. From the website, it looks really nice. Is there anyone currently on here that shoots there? I'd like more info (Negative and positive feedback) before I choose for sure. Although the price is certainly right.
