Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann has gone off the deep end again. Is she just getting in her shots while she can or has she succumb a more serious mental issue? Either way, let us hope she gets the treatment that is so sorely needed.

Report cited by Bachmann claims Norquist linked to Muslim Brotherhood | The Raw Story

Either Romney's camp or a Tea Party executive need to have a sit-down with Michele before serious damage is done to their campaign or movement.

why reign her in instead of investigate the claims?

Seems like you are more worried about here. What if she's wrong? Then no big deal.

    But what if she's right?

All sounds reasonable to me. Whats the problem. :dunno:

So, you agree that the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated the NRA and 95% of Republicans in congress? Lets not forget about the countless campaigns Norquist has aided or staffed. Yikes.

Yeah, Grover was planning footsy with the Muslim Brotherhood pre-2000. It was his idea to woo Muslims to the Republican Party using the pro-life hook.

I am certain he met all kinds of people.

My question: why didn't the FBI do this 10 years ago???

Norquist duped the entire Bush apparatus? This is a conspiracy theory more grand than truthers! We get it. He married a lady with a funny soundin' name.

Huh. Rove was in on this as well. And Bush.

Just another example of the insanity that is the Thorazine Queen. The more she speaks the less attention is being paid to Romney and his faults. Gotta have a bogeyman.

Time to flush the crazy, Tea Party.
Too late. The crazy is deep inside many of the branches of the tree. Some of them remember their roots while others, like the Tennessee TP and their ilk, have gone right off the deep end with joyful abandon. Not sure they're ever going get back on the rails.

Yeah, wish I had a rationale basis for this. They must certainly know that Norquist pre-9/11 was very active in seeking out the Muslim vote (especially in Michigan).

Why they are turning on Norquist must be a DC inside politics thing.:dunno:

Gaffney has been shopping his bigotry around for quite a while now. As noted, it has gotten him removed from several power circles. So, he made some youtube vidoes with some outrageous claims and no evidence and shopped them around. Bachmann bought the KONY2012-esque video and ran with it.

“Mr. Gaffney’s views have been widely discredited, including by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and conservative organizations … After the ACU board conducted a full investigation of Mr. Gaffney’s accusations against Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan, the board found Mr. Gaffney’s accusations ‘reprehensible,’ ‘baseless’ and ‘false and unfounded.’ The ACU even barred Mr. Gaffney’s participation from CPAC in 2011.”

He is the Alex Jones of islamophobia.

Curious why you care. No snark intended.

I don't want bigotry and hate to become mainstream within the Republican party. I don't want the party to be the haven for conspiracy theorists. I want intelligent candidates who don't buy into the latest youtube fads.

This according to the Front Page:

"And in Abedin’s case, there are ample reasons for raising these questions. Her father, Syed Z. Abedin, was a professor in Saudi Arabia who founded the Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs, an organization supported by the Muslim World League, a Brotherhood organization. Her mother, Saleha Mahmoud Abedin, is a member of the Muslim Sisterhood, the Brotherhood’s adjunct organization for women. The Brotherhood itself is in its own words, according to a captured internal document, dedicated to “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house.”

Okay, I can agree with that; but it was my understanding that you had washed your hands of the GOP. Did I get that wrong? Not flaming, trying to understand.

(She does tend to stick her foot in her mouth though.)
