Fred Feddersen made an offer on Rimfire Central to give away 15 of his aluminum 10/22 receivers. I was one of the fortunate fifteen. Bought one of his 16.25" threaded barrels and a BX trigger and the rest of the essentials came from ebay. Finished the final assembly on Monday and went to Point Blank today for the initial testing and sighting in the scope. This is going to be a fun little gun to shoot. I think it is much more accurate than my abilities.

Looks good, nice results on the target.

What are the selling points of the aluminum receiver?

CNC machined from one piece of aluminum. Integrated rail. Very close tolerances on the barrel fit, and it is straight. My understanding is that some Ruger 10 22 barrels are not perpendicular to the receiver. The inside of the receiver is very finished. And it's PURDY.
