What's Your EDC Caliber?

I'm just generally curious as to what the majority of people carry. My guess would be either 9mm or .40 but, let's find out.

Also; if you'd like, post WHY you chose your caliber.

38 special. smith model 66 copy from rossi. I have had it for years.

The G19 is about to get replaced by Kahr TP45 in .45ACP.

My EDC is a Ruger P345, carried everyday, summer or winter, since I purchased it several years ago, except for the Saturdays I carry my 1911 while working at ECPR.

Depends on the weather and what I'm wearing that day. Cold weather, MP9. 9mm. Warm weather, a .38 with +p and a backup speedloader.

Funny you say that, I actually tried. I clicked the add poll option, put in how many options I wanted and all that happened was it submitted itself.

I'm liking all the responses thus far though, pretty interesting. I carry a 9mm myself.

When I first started, it was .38 Special. Then I went to 9mm. After a few years I finally got my big boy pants, and now its 45 Auto!

Normally I use an XD9SC, but sometimes I'll pack my S&W Mod10 38 Spec. Always carry with Hornady Critical Defense rounds no matter what sidearm I'm using.

For about the last year its been .40 S&W.

For the 19 years before that it was .45 ACP.

It depends on how I am dressed but it boils down to 9mm or 45acp. If it's winter time and I'm wearing more clothes I carry a full size 1911. During the summer I carry a sub compact 9mm or LCP if I'm in shorts.

I carried a 40 S&W for a couple years so no issue there either.
