Sooo about a month ago I bought a sw Michigan friends of the NRA raffle ticket for a M1A ($10 ticket)
Got the phone call about an hr ago that I was the WINNER!!!
Its a standard M1a with wood stock

Congrats! I won my first gun ever in February of this year. My gun club has a membership raffle every year and my name was drawn for a Marlin 336C in .30-30

I have no real use for it but my 4 year old son has sure taken a shine to it so I figure it setting in the safe unfired for another 10 years isn't a bad thing.

And pics are definitely in order!

1st thanks everyone!
2nd Already working on getting it shipped. The shop is in New Haven MI. The dealer suggested getting it shipped to IND. just in case the NICS was delayed (about an 2-2 1/2 hr drive) He figured it would save me in gas just paying the transfer fee and shipping.

Winning anything is a cool feeling and when you win a gun its 10x better! One time I won a M&P9c from a gun related website. Can't remember what the site was called though. Something like INGO maybe.... Congrats on your win!
