Caught this movie yesterday and was surprised by its emotional grip.
Based on real-life events, Lt. Col. Michael Strobl, a volunteer military escort officer, accompanies the body of 19-year-old Marine Chance Phelps back to his hometown of Dubois, Wyoming.

I've watched this repeatedly over the years I've owned it. Gets to me every time. After watching it though I do have a tendecy to stand a little taller and walk a little more purposeful to honor my brothers in arms who paid the ultimate price.

Probably one of Kevin Bacon's best movies, if not the best. It seemed to fly under most everyone's radar when it came out. I was traveling on business and happened to catch it.

I got my wife to watch it a couple months ago. She was pretty moved by it also.

Sarah Thompson plays Annie, a girl Col. Stroebel meets on a flight. Just saw her in a Christmas special.
