My IGNORE List Is Longer Than Yours

As of 0200 HR on 08 MAR 2014, my IGNORE List now totals 93. This includes three new additions within the last hour! Woo-hoo!

It also includes some userids of people who were banned from INGO. I'll bet it also includes a few who were banned under more than one userid and both are on my list.

I think I'll go over 100 before April.

Here is how I ignore people if things get crazy/stupid.

I don't outright ignore anyone. If someone's post annoys me, I just don't read it. Even idiots will say something interesting once in awhile. I might miss it if I am ignoring them.

I have a few on mine. I would prefer if the ignore function actually made any evidence of the person's post completely invisible to me. Having a thread riddled with "this post has been hidden" messages can be distracting, and I'm often tempted to click "view post" only to be immediately reminded why I put the person on ignore in the first place.

I just tried to put myself on ignore list once.Didn't work.

It's been a while but I have used it twice. With in a month, both users have been banned.

Edit: Only one was banned. The other hasn't posted since October.

Every time I find a good candidate for the ignore list, then seem to redeem themself with a semi relevant post. There are a couple I've had on the cusp, but I try to keep an open mind, no matter how crazy their comments.

You have an impressive list there. I got up to two dozen once, then someone posted something about ignore lists and convinced me I shouldn't have one. Then I realized how stupid that was and I started adding again. I think I am back up to the same figure.

I don't use manual safeties, decockers, my home telephone, ignore lists or stupid phrases like "that's how we roll around here". Why, cuz that's how we roll around here.
