Sitting at the urologist waiting for the procedure. I declined the halcyon they offered. Updates as I'm able.

i figure this is the safe way for long-term birth control. I can't get ectopic pregnancies like women with tubal ligations, I can't get "adhesions" or hernias, and it's minimally invasive.

Hopefully I'll be ready for work again on Monday...

And yes, I know this post is useless without pics :)

You should tell them that you'd like to assist in the procedure. Just make sure they prop you up comfortably!

Just make sure to stay alert enough to be able to hear any Ooooooops's that may be uttered.

Oh and jogging home from the procedure will help in retaining your man card, and is recomended to speed the recovery process.

Vasectomy's aren't that big a deal. Just a good excuse to sit around all weekend. Now, when I was circumsized, that was a big deal! I couldn't walk for almost a year!!!

Also, don't forget to wear your tighty whities for a couple of weeks!

Compared to my 'open' gall bladder surgery on 08.28, this will be almost a breeze.

And DO NOT FORGET to take precautions in the 6-8 weeks after the surgery.

I got snipped two weeks ago tomorrow.

Pain wasn't bad at all and a couple baggies of frozen peas kept down swelling for the first few days, but when the dissolving stitches start to go the "pulling" you feel ain't too much fun.

Just arranged for two red roses to be sent to my wife and the urology office. I asked the florists to cut a 1" gap in the stem and brace it with a wire :):

Doc, just remember that there's great value in "dry-fire" practice, as well as shooting live ammo. :rockwoot:

Enjoy your recuperation. Take the hydrocodone. Better life through chemistry.
