Yesterday morning was so nice I decided to goof off and take a bike ride and work later. Rode over 54 miles on trails and roads. Just over 4 hours riding. Averaged 13.5 mph. Didn't think that was too bad since some of it was on crushed limestone that was very wet and sloppy with ice patches.
Used the Salsa casserole bike with cyclocross tires.

Had a little of the lime on me by the time I was done riding. Even though I tried to clean it off before I went back in the house I took enough along in that I had a wife who wasn't too happy.
Temperature was 45 when I started riding and 59 when I finished.
Was home by 1 pm and then had to do my work for the day. Not too bad for the last day of January.

I saw a couple bikes in the parking lot at school vroom vroom kind not pedal. Before snow was cleared one day, I got to see some kid wipe out on his single speed with slicks. Nothing beats a hipster bouncing off the sidewalk. Still makes me laugh just thinking about it. I hope he didn't hurt his Macbook Pro.
