WTS/WTT: Colt's Patent Co. .44 cal. black powder revolver

WTS/WTT: Colt's Patent Navy revolver in fair cond. Wood and brass are in very nice shape. The steel has several nicks and scratches in it. The cylinder is etched with ships on the ocean. I don't know much about this gun, I was told there was a piece missing just in front of the cylinder and below the barrel, and that the brass screw on the left side is not original. The hammer does not lock back when pulled, but I'm not familiar with black powder weapons so not sure if it should or not. Nice old gun either way! Will sell for $65.00 cash or trade for .223 or 9mm ammo. or may consider other trades. Who knows! Thanks

Are there any markings on the revolver? I can't see anything in the pictures.

The cylinder is etched as described in the ad with ships, and a stamp that reads...Cot's Patent Nc. pat. Sept.10th 1850.
