Why do you think a .32 ACP is not a good carry gun?

I carried a nine shot, .32 acp Walther PP most of my adult life. I never felt under gunned. I am a civilian. My specific need in a firearm is conceal-ability, safety and defense. I agree that if your need is offense, a .32 is a bad choice(...although that round served European police agencies for a dozen lustrum).

I don't see how a caliber that is bad for offense is good for defense. I am interested to hear about your successful use of .32 ACP to defend yourself, however.

I don't carry a .32 any more; but, IMHO a .32 Walther PP or PPK is a far superior weapon to the likes of any of those little Tupperware 9mms people are so fond of.

James Bond would have laughed at a Ruger LCP!

I always consult fictional movie characters when making a decision on which firearm is right for defensive purposes. Especially when they carry .25 ACP. Still, I think I would prefer a phased plasma rifle with a 40 watt range.
