I happened to stumble across a Phil Lynott bio recently. Since reading it I've had a lot of Thin Lizzy in my rotation. I never get tired of the Cowboy Song.
Great song and album. My favorite Thin Lizzy lineups were the ones with the brief stints that Gary Moore played, Lynott's old bandmate from Skid Row (and one of my all-time favorite guitarists).

The bio piece I read quoted Lynott as saying he wanted Thin Lizzy to be remembered as a band that, "fronted a lot of really good guitar". It also covered the story of Moore selling the band name Skid Row to the U.S. band (sebastian bach) most people think of.
