Let me just start by making something clear. I don't like 1911s. I'm and HK guy and own quite a few. I can't find a single thing the 1911 is better at. Maybe trigger but all 13 of my HKs have the same trigger and all feel the same. So in the world of handgun logic there is no reason to ever buy another 1911. I've had my share of them from Kimber to Wilson and had trouble with all of them. After I sold the Wilson I said never again. Well flash back two weeks. I'm sitting at the 1500 selling guns. I ordered 10 of the sig 1911 extreams for the show. As I was selling them I started to like it more every time I touched it. Kind of like White Castle. It looks so good but you know how it's going to end up. Well I sold 9 if the 10 I had in stock. I sold one to a guy at ZX who couldn't buy one with his discount as cheap as I had them. Thought that was funny. Ok enough rambling I sold one to my self. So far 500 rounds and no failure. Not even hollow points. I'm not impressed yet. I've got 9000 rounds and two years on a wore out USP 45f that still hasn't failed. No cleaning or anything. But no other 1911 I've owned has made it this far. Guess I'll just keep shooting it till it fails and I sell it lol.

Not surprised by the HK USP. It is a tank. I had the compact version and sold it to a member here. On the other hand, 1911's can be a little finicky, but tuned right, they can run just as long if not longer.

Idk if it would run quite that long. HK got 70k rounds through a USP before any failure. That's a bunch of shootin. But so far I'm enjoying the sig. Honestly most of my problems in the past were extractor related. Wilson with back 3 times and never was right. The external extractor has been working perfect so far. Maybe that makes it a 1910.5 lol.

That's a nice looking Sig 1911. Not sure I've seen an xtreme version before.
I really like my Sig Nightmare 5" 1911 and I'm a hard core Glock guy... go figure.
I hope yours is as accurate as mine. Mine's a tack driver.

My next 1911 will be stainless.
Not a big fan of the black Nitron finish

Wow, very similar story, also HK fan, never found a 1911 I cared much for, but bought the Sig Extreme after seeing it & fondling.

After shooting her, she's a keeper, did a range review a few weeks back.

Will be taking her out again soon.

    1911's.....you either like-em or you don't. I happen to like-em. I enjoy tuning them.

My H&K USP was a tank but I absolutely hated the trigger.

Does that Extreme accept 1911 parts or is it sig specific.

    1910.5........I like it.

Only difference I have found is the external extractor and slide profile. I put a Wilson curved trigger in to see if it felt better than the flat. It was a drop in. I switched back because the flat trigger actually feels better to me. Other than that it's like any other 1911. The G10 grips are sweet. They are made by Hogue for Sig and have a built in magwell. I was selling them for 800 plus tax at the show and it's got a lot of features for that price.
