Hey INGO, my father in law left behind a few rifles when he passed away last year and my brother in law is trying to figure out a few things about a particular rifle he had before he sells/trades it to his uncle.
Mainly he's interested in knowing if this is a rare piece and what a ballpark value should be on it.

It's a Tikka T3 chambered in 6.5 x 55mm. Wood stock. Looks to be in great condition. Can anyone here shed some light on this? (go easy on me, I'm just trying to be helpful, I'd honestly never heard of Tikka until today).

    Not far from the tree
Not particularly rare or special but Tikkas are fine rifles. Well built and accurate. An excellent deer caliber as well. Gunbroker or Buds Gunshop website would give you a good indication of worth.

And left handed as well, unless you reversed the photos.

First value I located on a T3 hunter was about $600. Guessing thats not too far off the mark.

The T3X models are around $400 more. Depending on options can go a fair amount higher.

T3 Hunter. Excellent rifle, my deer rifle is a T3x Hunter in the same chambering. Being a lefty makes it a little rarer but not particularly more valuable. Also note that is 6.5x55 SE and not 6.55x55 Swedish Mauser. Case and all is the same but loaded quite a bit hotter. $600 as posted by patience0380 sounds about right, maybe a bit more being left handed and because it looks new.
