The only thing injured is my pride so I figured I'd share....

When water-quenching cast bullets, don't add your mis-cast bullets back into the mix. They can wait awhile!

I was slipping some mis-cast 308s back into the melt when the melt went POP! followed by a pants-ruining shower of molten lead. This was NOT the way I wanted my casting session to go.

Fortunately, the protective gear did its job, the mess was quickly cleaned up, and casting resumed within minutes.

For those of you just starting out, let this be a warning. Molten lead and water DO NOT MIX!

And yes, I make lead cupcakes.....
