yup, " I didn't do it" was the common refrain with my 2 boys
I just told Susan that we really need to nip the lying in the bud. We sat them down a little while ago and talked to them about the tv. It was as I suspected. The "bully" (Bryson) had jumped on Brydon's back and knocked him into the tv. We told them that when stuff like that happens, to always tell us the truth, and that if they told us the truth, they wouldn't get in trouble, but when they lie, then they're going to get in trouble.

Just now, they both said that they had finished their suppers and thrown their plates in the trash. I walked in the house and they hadn't. :xmad: So I called them into the house. There was also an empty bag from some peanut butter crackers that Bryson had been eating earlier. I told him to throw it away too and he looked right at me and said, "That not mine!" I said, "Son, I saw you eating out of it earlier and it's in front of your chair, so it IS yours and you need to throw it away now!" Then I re-iterated what I had said about lying and getting in trouble.
