I'm thinking of taking my 5 year old out and let him shoot my .22--as I understand the laws here, we can shoot in Hoosier National Forest as well as Yellowwood State Forest, assuming we obey the laws about proximity to structures, etc. Brown County State Park seems out of the question?

    Is this correct?

Are State Forests ok but State Parks a no-go?

Go to a range. Target shooting belongs on the TARGET RANGE.

Not where people are hunting in full camo with a bow and arrow or squirrel hunting.

    Legal don't = smart.
